Visitors are returning to the Kentucky Tourism Board’s Kentucky attraction, Haunted Kentucky, after a five-day closure due to the ongoing flooding.
The Kentucky Travel Board said Thursday that the Kentucky Travel & Convention Commission, Kentucky Tourism Authority and Kentucky Department of Transportation have agreed to reopen the attraction on Friday, Dec. 4, according to a news release.
It is the second time this season that Haunted Kentucky has been closed.
In October, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet suspended the Kentucky Experience, a 2,000-seat theater that has hosted several Kentucky events since its opening in September, after the flooding.
The Kentucky Tourism Cabinet said Thursday it is suspending its permit to operate the Kentucky Adventure and Experience Center, an entertainment venue at the site of Kentucky Adventure State Park.
In the last few days, several other Kentucky attractions have been closed as well, including Kentucky Adventure, Kentucky Adventure Garden, Kentucky B&B, Kentucky Classic, Kentucky Family Campground, Kentucky State Fairgrounds and Kentucky Country Store.
