Seattle Childrens Parks (SCP) has announced that it will host a live-action film, The Nacked Experience, on its two-story park at South Park Elementary in Downtown Seattle.
The NACKED Experience will premiere in Seattle this year and feature a sock puppet, a giant red, white and blue ball, a dollhouse, and other props.
The puppet will be played by two of Seattle’s top performers: “Pamela” and “Penny.”
The puppet’s name is inspired by “Pete’s Diner” from the Broadway musical, “The Little Mermaid.”
The puppeteer, who has been dubbed “Pep,” is a Seattle native and is also an award-winning puppeteering artist.
“PEPP,” as she is known, has appeared in the musicals “The Lion King” and the feature film, “Little Mermaid.”
“Papa” and Penny are both former performers on “Dancing with the Stars.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with SCP to bring this magical, unique live experience to Seattle,” said Steve McPhee, CEO and CEO of SCP.
“SCP has been a leader in entertainment for many years and we’re thrilled that we can share this special event with the community.”
“The NACK” will also feature live music and special performances by local bands, including Seattle’s own “Downtown Seattle Dance Party,” the second annual dance festival taking place this year in the Westin Hotel.
SCP has partnered with the local dance community and has worked with the Dance Theatre of Seattle to coordinate the live entertainment, which will take place on April 14 at 10:30 a.m.
“The SCP NACK Live is the perfect way for kids and adults to experience this exciting, unique experience,” said Peter Wojcicki, Executive Director of the Dance Theater of Seattle.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for kids to see their favorite actors, performers, dancers and bands, and for adults to discover their own favorite Seattle attractions and meet the amazing people who make this city special.”
The Nack Experience will be available for purchase at select SCP stores and will be streamed online on SCP’s website starting April 14.
“Our focus at SCP is to offer fun and engaging experiences for our guests, while helping them learn more about our parks and communities,” said Wojcy.
“This partnership with SPC offers us the opportunity to showcase Seattle’s unique attractions and to share with the public an amazing opportunity to get to know Seattle’s residents and visitors.”
