Branson and his wife, Lauren, have been enjoying their holiday in Japan.
The couple’s first visit to the country in almost five years was not only an occasion for relaxation, but also a chance to experience something new.
The 43-year-old billionaire is known for his extravagant lifestyle, including a luxury hotel, a golf course and a $1bn (£832m) theme park.
But now, after spending the past two years touring Japan’s vast and rapidly growing tourism industry, his wife is also enjoying life.
Her popularity has taken off in recent years, with her husband becoming a household name in the country, with many locals saying she is a “woman of the people”.
“I’ve never been married before, but I know how to be a lady and how to love a woman, which is a very special thing,” Mr Branson told a local news station.
“We’ve been together for seven years now, and I can honestly say that the way I’m seeing my wife is very different than when I was married,” he added.
Mr Branson said he did not feel the need to “bark up and down” when visiting Japan, with his wife being the ultimate female entertainer.
“It’s like, this is the greatest country on the earth, and you have to be at the top of the mountain, and to be that way, you’ve got to be fabulous and it has to be,” he said.
Mr Amaury said the couple had recently purchased a $8m home in Japan, which they plan to use as their base of operations while they are in the area.
He added: “I’m really enjoying being a husband and wife and I’m enjoying the experience.”
I like that she’s so open-minded and so willing to help, so she’s really giving me this new freedom to do things that I normally don’t do.
“The couple is also considering visiting a different country, such as Australia, during their stay, the Sun reports.”
If we want to go there, that’s up to her and I hope we’ll do it,” Mr Amauroy said.”
And that’s what we’re going to do, I hope.
